CruiseNext Triple Up Offer Norwegian Cruise Line Cruise Critic Community

cruise next ncl

As I am paying for four cabins next June, this will save me another $500. Someone on these boards from 2021 was told the OBC was 'non refundable' meaning they couldn't use the half off toward the purchase of the certs. Meaning- when they earned the 250 they had to spend it onboard- they could just get the cert half off. It's not worth it for us if we have to spend money on stupid stuff onboard for 'fake savings'. We booked a November 2023 PoA cruise yesterday, and my PCC mentioned (and applied) this when he called to finalize the booking.

Explore Your Cruise Vacation

This was my thought - while I'd like to book Haven, I have know way of knowing whether the pricing will work for me until I am ready to book. The big difference seems to be that if you buy the Haven certificate, you can use that as the sole deposit rather than make up the difference at the time of booking. I think if you are combining certificates for a suite deposit on Haven, you would still have to put down an additional $1000 (for a total deposit of $1500) at booking. But I agree, it's probably not worth the gamble since I don't know what I will book, so I will likely just purchase the regular certificates.

Carnival's Future Cruise Vacation program

Don't forget to sign up for Norwegian's cruise deals to get the latest specials and discounts delivered to your inbox. Reserve your 7+ day vacation today with reduced deposit per person. Only applicable when you book a club balcony suite or below.

Is NCL Canceling Cruises in 2023?

cruise next ncl

Before I made final payment on my December cruise, I noted the second person flies free perk had been dropped. I immediately paid because that's one of the best parts of the cruise. It's for the week of Christmas and they only charged us $100 (199 but bogo) each.

You can purchase up to 4 CruiseNext certificates, worth $250 each, toward any cruise you choose to take in the next 4 years. If you buy 1 certificate, you'll get $100 off. If you buy 2 certificate you'll get $250 off. So basically, if you by 2-4 of them, they are half off. I have made a few bookings in the last few weeks using cruisenext vouchers that were due to expire before the cruises they have been applied to. So now you can use 2 cruise next certificates for any type of stateroom, hmmm i guess that's good it used to be for Balcony and above.

Is there someone special you wish could come with you on your cruise? The Friends & Family offer gives you the chance to share your stateroom with up to two other people at no extra charge. Coupled with the Roundtrip Air offer that gives you access to free or reduced rates on roundtrip airfares for up to two guests per stateroom, you could save some serious cash. Yes, NCL has canceled 13 cruises between December 2023 and April 2024. Especially, Norwegian Epic’s sailings from December 1, 2023, through April 9, 2024, were canceled. Yes, if you’re a frequent NCL cruiser, NCL CruiseNext can save you money on your next cruise.

Virgin Voyages' My Next Virgin Voyage program

CruiseNext may only be purchased onboard, though they're transferrable so you can get them in the secondary market. You may purchase up to 4 of them in $250 increments for $125 each. You can usually use two toward your cruise deposit, though I believe that varies based on cabin type and cruise length.

But in a new twist on future cruise bookings, Viking offers repeat customers travel credits for all bookings within two years of their last sailing. Reserve your next cruise within one year of your last and you'll earn $200 in credit. Book within two years of your most recent cruise and you'll earn $100. I had purchased 3 certificates to round out the four I like to keep on my account. At the end of the trip the folio shows that I lost $193 of the “onboard credit”.

How to Use Your Onboard Credit

According to CruisePlum, the cheapest total price booking currently available on NCL is a 12 day Orlando - Rome inside cabin for one passenger at $1210. The travel credits are not onboard credits; they can only be applied to the purchase of a Viking cruise. When Princess says "fully refundable," it means prior to final payment on your chosen cruise. Once final payment is made, standard cancellation policies kick in, and your deposit may not be refunded. Also, FCDs may not be applied to world cruises or any world cruise segment. You definitely need to choose wisely with these deposits.

It depends on your destination, but overall prices for most NCL sailings rise from around Spring Break through mid-summer before dropping just as school starts. Fares rise again for holiday cruises, even though there are often amazing deals between Thanksgiving and the middle of December. If you booked straight through NCL, you'll need to call them. If you booked through a website or travel agent, you have to call them.

You use the $250 denomination CruiseNext deposit as a full deposit for non-suite categories, or as partial payment of suite deposits. The $500 deposits are full deposits for bookings in suites or The Haven. The NextCruise program also pairs with Casino Royale instant certificates given for reaching certain levels of gameplay in the casino during your cruise. If you earn a certificate and then pay for a deposit toward a future cruise, you may be eligible for a bonus offer.

At times such as those, a $300 certificate comes in handy. Use the link provided by kjquilts to see the current offer. The latest double up offer started July1 and ended August 31. Keep checking because you never know when NCL will offer it ( the promo).

In years past, NCL usually does not offer this TripleUp promotion approaching the busy & sold out summer weeks, and typically wait until the early Fall to promote this. Do take advantage of it, if you can and will be sailing NCL anyway. Booked at least 4 months in advance or occurring at least 4 months from today? Because we're past PIF, but if I could use one to prepay gratuities partially I will totally do that. Of course my cruise is 5 months and 23 days away. Yeah, many of the NCL folks try to tell you that.

Waitlisted cruises are not eligible for the Onboard Savings Program. Virgin Voyages is pretty relaxed about things like date changes within certain limitations. However, if you wish to downgrade your reservation below the Sea Terrace level, you will forfeit all of the bonuses. It's not really an obc so don't think you now have $125 to spend on drinks.

If there are no certificates currently on the booking? I didn’t quite understand all the T&C details about the certificates so I didn’t buy any when I booked the cruise. If you apply 3 cruise next certificates you get $1500 credit for a cost of $750 USD.

As an example, on our last cruise I bought 2 CruiseNext certificates it cost me $250. I'm going to use one of them when I book my next NCL cruise. I gave her the other certificate for Christmas this year( since they are transferrable). So, she'll get $250 off her booking.

After 121 Transatlantic crossings (RepositionCruises.com) and 82 Canadian cruises, Empress of Canada arrived in Liverpool on November 23, 1971, with which the regular Liverpool-Canada service was terminated. On December 17 (1971) the liner was laid up in Port Tilbury-London. The vessel's launch (float-out from drydock) was on May 10, 1960.

Your room also features extra space for kicking back, ocean-breeze-style, on your balcony featuring lounge chairs and an al fresco dining table. Balcony staterooms were designed for maximum sea breeze and the most stunning views, so look to a balcony if you’re looking to cruise with a view aboard Mardi Gras. A Junior Balcony stateroom features the same size balcony as standard Balcony rooms, just with a little less interior space.

There is a mineral pool, heated tile loungers, steam and dry heat chambers, and rainfall showers to wash your stress away. Loft 19 features plush lounge chairs and a large infinity whirlpool, but the area’s 12 five-person cabanas must be rented for an additional fee from $500 per day to $3,000 per week. The Chef’s Table features cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, and a unique menu of appetizers, entrees, and desserts. Mardi Gras is divided into six different zones that incorporate themed elements and spaces for hosting activities and events, over 20 dining options, and nearly the same number of bars and lounges.

Carnival Excel Aft Suite

A Carnival Excel Suite aboard Mardi Gras is the kind of room that proves that vacation and comfort go hand-in-hand. In this large room you’ll find not only a bathroom with a spacious shower and a double sink, but a good amount of room for living and lounging. Plus there’s truly nice-to-haves like a dining area and two TVs — one in the sleeping area and one in the living space.

From burgers and fried chicken to huevos rancheros and 12-hour French toast, there are plenty of options to delight every palate. Created by Carnival’s Chief Fun Officer Shaquille O’Neal, Big Chicken offers a wide array of tasty chicken sandwiches, chicken strips, and even a fried chicken basket. Mardi Gras offers guests close to 20 excellent bars and lounges onboard. The food at Emeril’s Bistro is delicious, and the prices are very reasonable. Rudi Sodamin, Holland America Line’s amazing Master Chef, has been wowing guests of Carnival’s sister line for years.

Fahrenheit 555 Steakhouse is a superb dining experience on this cruise ship, and making reservations early is important. This upscale specialty restaurant is located on Deck 7 and carries a surcharge of $49 per person for a superb four-course meal, which is well worth the cost. One of my favorite things about sea days on a Carnival cruise ship is enjoying a relaxing Seaday Brunch.

In 2001, the ship (renamed "Apollon") re-entered service for short-breaks (3-4-day) roundtrips from homeport Piraeus. In 2003, the 42-years-old liner was laid up again, and soon sold for scrap. Empress of Canada offered regularly scheduled Transatlantic crossings between the UK and Quebec Canada (Liverpool - Montreal).

This dining option usually takes place in a non-traditional venue (a dedicated room in the galley) and can be booked onboard for USD 75 per person. Carnival XL-Class ship design features a new (red-white-navy blue) hull and was created by the NYC-based naval architecture firm "Bluarch Architecture". The Carnival Mardi Gras was built in 2020 and is amoung Carnival's 26 ships in it's fleet.

You cruise from island to island at night and enjoy each of them during the day. Plane hopping from island to island might be enjoyable for you if you don’t mind packing and unpacking every day or so. We had seven days in Honolulu and then divided seven days between the other islands with two or three days on each. Doing that three times within a week eats up a great deal of your time. If you are good with a single day on each island and seeing one main attraction, then a cruise would be a perfect option for you.

Vista will have the line’s signature cooking school and largest-in-fleet staterooms. At the top end, palatial Owner’s Suites are being styled by Ralph Lauren Home, which is also decorating the top-of-ship library. Debuting in August in the Mediterranean, the 3,219-passenger Norwegian Viva is the second in a newer class of upscale Norwegian Cruise Line ships geared toward cruisers who want a plethora of activities without huge crowds. The ship has a separate complex for suite guests, a multi-million-dollar art collection, and dining options that include a hip food hall with a solid international roster. There’s also a new outdoor seating area known as The Bow, which promises excellent views of the river. Plenty of inclusions are also on offer, such as beer, wine and soft drinks with lunch and dinner; a complimentary shore excursion per day; lectures; Wi-Fi and free room service. The latest ship for the luxury line Silversea Cruises will be bigger than its predecessors and feature an all-new design — one that, notably, will be asymmetrical in many areas. That is, some of the vessel's most prominent spaces, including its main pool area, will feature layouts that are off-center in a way that is unusual for cruise ships. The recently renewed Swan Hellenic brand will add to its current fleet of two new ships with yet another.

As is typical for expedition ships, it's a tough vessel, with a reinforced bow that lets it bump through ice in polar regions and extra tanks for fuel and food. It also has its own landing craft on board to bring people ashore in remote locations as well as kayaks and even submarines for exploring (the latter being something that is relatively rare on cruise vessels of any type). The third of a series of newbuilds for Regent, Seven Seas Grandeur will likely try to top the title of "world's most luxurious cruise ship," which the line dubbed sister ship Silver Seas Explorer when it debuted. Coming in November 2023, Seven Seas Grandeur will have its version of the $11,000-per-night Regent Suite, and the line is already stating that the ship will have the highest space and crew ratio per passenger in the industry. The third of Virgin Voyages' "lady ships," Resilient Lady will launch with adult-only cruises in spring 2023. Carrying 2,770 passengers, the ship will have a similar design and attitude to Scarlet Lady and Valiant Lady.

April 2021Originally set to debut in November 2020, Royal Caribbean's new Odyssey of the Seas was delayed until 2021 due to the knock-on effect on construction as a result of shutdowns imposed by the coronavirus pandemic.

Discover what’s included from dining venues with free food to free activities and entertainment, you’ll be amazed with a vacation on Ovation of the Seas. The 1,196-foot-long, 20-deck Icon of the Seas is packed with bars, restaurants, and things to do. Any shorter of an itinerary, and you might not have time to experience all it has to offer. Culinary Journeys Across the GlobePrepare to embark on a culinary voyage around the world! Beyond traditional cruise favorites, Sun Princess introduces immersive dining experiences. Taste global flavors featuring fresh, regionally-inspired dishes, and delve into themed restaurants that create vibrant, authentic atmospheres.

Expect the same restaurants that you’ve seen on other Virgin ships, including a range of international restaurants and none of the main dining rooms or buffets you’re used to on traditional cruise ships. Compared to past Oceania ships, Vista offers new dining options, such as Ember and Aquamar Kitchen. In terms of accommodations, expect all-veranda options, and staterooms and suites with oversized rainforest showers. With two new cruise ships coming later this year, there's no shortage of exciting sailings at MSC. In December, MSC Seascape will launch inaugural roundtrip voyages from Miami through the Caribbean and Bahamas. Royal Caribbean's second new ship of the year will be a giant, too, though not quite as big as Icon of the Seas.

That means the best new cruise ships for 2021 include some favorites that were due to come out in 2020, like Carnival Cruise Line's much-anticipated Mardi Gras. Its restaurants include a version of Viking's signature Italian spot, Manfredi's, and the Scandinavian-inspired Mamsen's outlet. Also familiar is a top-of-the-ship, glass-walled Explorers' Lounge promising stunning views of passing scenery. Most notable is The Hangar, an enclosed marina that allows passengers to transfer to the ship's Zodiac landing craft while still in the protected interior of the ship.

Thanks to such delays, the arrival of a few ships that had been scheduled for delivery in 2022 will be pushed to 2023. Crystal lovers have been promised extensive refurbishments to Crystal Serenity and Crystal Symphony. And while we still don't know much else, the rebooted line seems to be bringing back many of its top executives and crew -- the same that made Crystal a beloved luxury brand. On the super-luxe Silver Nova, the restaurant S.A.L.T. will focus on culinary education and local food culture. Technology will reduce up to 90 percent of nitrogen oxide emissions by transforming it into water and nitrogen, while a waste heat recovery system will heat auxiliary systems, such as potable water.

With 3,260 passengers, 2,331 staterooms, 14 restaurants and eateries, and (for a $9.95 fee), there’s a dining option for everyone. Le Voyage, the first restaurant at sea by renowned chef Daniel Boulud, serves Mediterranean cuisine and a plant-based tasting menu. The new luxury ships offer high guest-to-crew ratios and meticulously curated ports of call worldwide.

Disney Alaska cruise: 10 things to know before sailing north

A gourmet cheese trolley and selections such as duck, elk, Kobe beef, langoustine, and sablefish are hallmarks of the menu. Reserve a table at Palo for a delightful meal featuring memorable Italian cuisine. The stunning venue includes giant windows overlooking the ocean, providing a perfect backdrop for your meal.

Disney Dream Deck-by-Deck

Outside of dinner service, Lumiere’s is also an option for breakfast and lunch on most days; you’ll find a more-Americanized menu during those meal periods. Like all Disney Cruise Ships, the Disney Magic offers rotational dining during the nightly dinner service. This Disney Cruise Line innovation pre-schedules you to visit a different restaurant on each night of the cruise. You’ll have the same waitstaff each night, so they’ll get to know you and your food preferences. After stepping onboard to the applause of the Crew and your fellow passengers, you’re immediately enveloped in the grand atrium of the ship, where a statue of Helmsman Mickey makes a popular photo spot.

Concierge Staterooms on Disney Dream

The buffet is usually open for breakfast and lunch, though not in the evening hours. And you haven't lived until your kids learn how to call and order free Mickey ice cream bars to the cabin ... Room service is mostly free (other than sodas or alcohol), though the menu is limited if you aren't staying in a concierge-level cabin. On each Disney ship, three main dining rooms serve as dinner restaurants that participate in rotational dining.

Casual Dining on the Disney Magic Cruise Ship

The main bathroom has double sinks, a rain-style shower, and a whirlpool tub. A large walk-in closet provides plenty of space for storing your belongings. Cruise ships are so filled with activities and other things to do, and guests aren’t meant to spend a ton of time in their stateroom, so don’t think you’ll be shortchanging your experience if you book an inside stateroom. If you have a larger budget and prioritize that extra level of elevated service, concierge is a fun splurge.

Most are included in the price of the cruise, though bingo does cost extra — and you could win real money. If you think a massage is relaxing, imagine a massage while looking out over the ocean! Disney Magic offers a full-service spa onboard the ship, plus many other health and wellness services. The flagship dining experience on the first four Disney ships (including Disney Magic), Animator’s Palate offers a fan-favorite menu along with a taste of the magic of animation. It’s a well-known fact that cruises feature virtually endless food options, and the Disney Magic is no exception. With three sensational main dining restaurants, an elegant adult-only dining option, and plenty of places to grab a quick meal or a snack on the go, you certainly won’t go hungry onboard this ship.

The Disney Wish provides bathrobes as part of the standard stateroom amenities but on the other ships, they’re only for concierge guests. Inside staterooms on the Disney Fantasy and Disney Dream have a virtual porthole, which is a digital screen that shows real-time views of the ship’s exterior with the occasional visit from a Disney character. The oceanview stateroom may also be a good compromise for parents of young children.

On a recent sailing, I saw Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Goofy, and Pluto all in 30 minutes. Speaking of gear, at Castaway Cay, cruisegoers can borrow free towels as soon as they get off of the ship. There are plenty of towel-return stations around the island, so I also never have to carry wet, sandy towels back on the ship.

Deck 12

4Es on the Magic Class follow the rules of the other 4s – the stateroom sleeps up to 5 and their verandahs are not giant. Their verandahs do have a solid white metal wall instead of clear Plexiglas below the railing. I’d avoid 4Es on the Magic Class for that reason, while I’d certainly do 4Es on the Dream Class for those ginormous verandahs. Disney reclassified many category 4 rooms for 2022, eliminating 4D, recategorizing some of those as 4C, and some 4Cs became 4Bs. Disney cruises offer a 1-Bedroom Suite with Verandah for those looking for a little extra space and privacy on their vacation. The suite sleeps up to 5 people and features a separate bedroom, two bathrooms, a living room, and a wet bar.

For techy types, there are plenty of TVs, video games, and tablets. Meanwhile, active teens will enjoy dance parties, karaoke sessions, and group activities. Tweens and young teens – ages 11 to 14 – have a space all to themselves onboard the Disney Magic. Edge is the perfect place to relax thanks to its moody boiler room feel. There’s a huge video screen, a dance floor, plus plenty of video games and crafts.

Did you know Storybook Destinations offers a complimentary subscription to TouringPlans with qualified Disney and Universal bookings? Exclusively for guests aged 13-17, this special area of Senses offers treatments to teens. A parent or guardian must accompany the teen for the duration of the treatment (solo and combined treatments are offered as an option). Not only is this a fun adventure, it’s also an astounding way to orient yourself to everything on the ship! And because your detective badge tracks your progress, you can play at your own pace, starting and stopping as you like.

We focus on bringing you all things fun so you can plan your theme park vacation, enjoy Disney at home, and more. Additionally, on truly exceptional viewing days, you probably don't want to be confined to the specific angle you can get from your cabin. Disney cruises to Alaska leave from Vancouver, as opposed to Seattle, where some other lines embark passengers for their Alaska sailings. Most of the elements of our Disney Cruise to Alaska were exceptional, but the much-anticipated "Frozen night" with deck show wasn't one of those things. It was fine; the littlest kids enjoyed it, and if it's convenient for you to pop up and see, then do it.

T-shirts, shorts and bathing suits (with a cover-up to go inside) are fine. However, on round-trip cruises departing European countries with a lower drinking age, passengers years of age can drink alcohol on board with signed parental consent. For round-trip cruises from Sydney, Melbourne, Auckland and Brisbane, guests 18 years of age and older may purchase and consume alcoholic beverages without parental consent. A hair dryer is provided in every cabin for your convenience, but you may bring your own as long as it meets the guidelines above. Guests 21 years and older may bring a maximum of two bottles of unopened wine or Champagne (no larger than 750 milliliters) or six beers (no larger than 12 ounces) on board at the beginning of the voyage and at each port of call.

They do have a round mirror that sort of looks like a porthole, but all you’ll see through it is your reflection. The standard version of this stateroom is the smallest, while the deluxe version is slightly larger. Thanks to this kind of attention, the Magic still has plenty of innovations and unique experiences that can only be found onboard this ship. For example, it’s the only Disney cruise ship on which you’ll find the AquaDunk drop-style water slide (added during the ship’s 2013 “re-imagination”).

Carnival Sunshine ship details, destinations, deck plans and more

There’s a lineup of frozen concoctions, cocktails and margaritas served by the glass or by the pitcher, and even a special Mexican beer cocktail (yes, really). So stay cool and take in the bar’s vacation vibe while you kick back on your cruise – that’s what official bar mascot Blue the Iguana would tell you. Day or night, find a spot on deck and check out the huge poolside screen — it's Carnival Seaside Theater™!

Carnival Sunshine - user reviews and comments

Carnival Cruise Line goes beyond the older Fantasy-class vessels such as the Holiday-class. The very first was Mardi Gras which we already mentioned further up, and began sailing for the cruise line in 1972. Then came Carnivale, which is, in fact, the oldest built ship. The ship is 110,000 gross tons with a passenger capacity of 2,980, along with 1,180 international crew members. The vessel is the third Dream-class cruise ship that entered service in 2012.

Standard inside, ocean-view and balcony cabins each feature two twin beds that form a king when combined. Cabins boast decent storage options, including couches with inset drawers, bedside tables with shelves, and closets. There are two 120-volt U.S.-style outlets and one Euro-style 230-volt outlet atop a small vanity in each cabin, under which you'll find an ottoman-style seat. You’ll enjoy your meal among Asian prayer rolls and Mongolian-inspired fabrics that infuse northern-country style into this unique culinary experience.

She entered service in 2016 and was named by godmother Miss USA, Deshauna Barber. The vessel is 183,521 gross tons with a guest capacity of 5,372 at double occupancy, along with 1,735 crew members. Carnival Celebration is based in Miami, Florida, and also takes the name of a previous Carnival cruise ship, Celebration, that was part of the holiday class. A Cloud 9 Spa Suite is the ultimate in both stateroom and spa accommodations.

What I loved about Carnival Sunshine

They’re free to play, so find a friend or three and get set for some serious play-action.Get hands-on with a game, a drink… and high-fives galore! They’re free to play, so find a friend or three and get set for some serious play-action. And with all this fun happening, they’ll be LOLing in no time. Even if you don’t “know” much about art, of course you can still tell when you like something — who needs a refined palette to know when a piece is good? Carnival leaves snobbish cultural pretensions ashore, and makes art something that everyone can enjoy with a series of events designed to bring great art where it belongs — to the people.

Treat yourself to some delicious Bahamian-themed or craft cocktails, or a signature beer. These bars on Carnival Sunshine serve up entertainment along with your drinks. So, don’t be worried about your cruising experience being outdated or on the lackluster side when you take a Carnival Sunshine cruise. Here’s more of what to expect, so you can start planning your Carnival Sunshine cruise.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Traditional balconies have room for two chairs and a small table. As mentioned earlier, the ship shows signs of wear and tear, which was evident on our balcony. It desperately needed a good scrub to get rid of the dark spots and paint drippings. The crew's flexibility and impressive level of service really stood out on this sailing. For example, we went through a storm during our cruise, and rough seas altered the Welcome Aboard production on the first night.

Premium Vista Balcony

In place of a traditional shorter coffee table, there was a taller wooden table that could double as a makeshift working desk. Carnival Sunshine offers a nice variety of cuisine, so all palates will be satisfied. You could enjoy a spicy chickpea curry dish or jambalaya, freshly prepared artisan deli sandwiches and wraps, or load up on salad fixings and fresh fruit.

There was always a line of people ready to perform, and the Ocean Plaza area where it took place was teeming with crowds cheering them on. Audience members would often get up and dance to the music or sing along. Sure, you'll spot signs of wear and tear befitting an older ship, but the dings in my cabin furnishings were easy to overlook. Follows the complete list of Carnival Sunshine restaurants and food bars. When you find yourself between the Carnival Sunshine and some actual sunshine, fun at sea is guaranteed.

Carnival's oldest ship and part of the line's Sunshine Class of reimagined vessels, Carnival Sunshine has the "Fun Ship 2.0" upgrades that bring it in line with newer Carnival ships. Modern amenities and an unpretentious environment dovetail nicely aboard Sunshine, and the updated restaurants, bars and public spaces make you feel like you're on a modern cruise ship. You can also book very similar Cloud 9 Spa balcony staterooms. Likewise, specialty Premium Vista balcony staterooms are situated on the aft corners of the ship, offering panoramic views from wrap-around balconies. Tropical was the first new cruise ship built for Carnival Cruise Line in 1982. The new Holiday-class vessel also built for the cruise line helped grow the Fun ship fleet with Holiday arriving in 1985, Jubilee in 1986, and Celebration in 1987.

An ultra-HD graphics package is beamed onto a vast screen and the performers use it as a backdrop of their show. A number of themed shows take place in ship's Liquid Lounge, which doubles as the 800-seat main Theater. Because the room was initially designed as a theater with two stories, it's impossible to feature an intimate atmosphere.

Take part in an art-themed battle of the sexes or check out showcases highlighting the best of, say, European artists or world-famous pop artist Peter Max. Although there's an official dress code for the evenings, it's pretty laid-back. Most nights are designated "cruise casual," which includes khakis or jeans, polo shirts and sundresses.

The glow-up brought added attractions and venues found on newer Carnival vessels. The common denominator among passengers was that everyone was ready to celebrate something. On embarkation day, I saw an almost endless sea of matching shirts announcing milestone birthdays, bachelorette parties and other special events. The overall vibe — which continued throughout the cruise — was energetic and festive, and most people didn't take themselves too seriously. It was clear from the moment we stepped on the ship that if you didn't have a fun time, it was entirely your fault.

Carnival Radiance was previously named Carnival Victory, but during a major transformation in Cadiz, Spain in 2021, the ship became completely new. The new-look vessel is part of the Sunshine class and from December 13, 2021, is sailing from the Long Beach Cruise Terminal in California. You could call the Carnival Venezia half new, as she was transferred from sister brand Costa Cruises in 2023 and sailed her inaugural voyage as part of the Carnival Cruise Line fleet on May 29, 2023.

Get your nightlife — not to mention your daylife — done at Ocean Plaza. A picture window gives you views of scenery you won’t find anywhere on land, all from the comfort of your stateroom. Dedicated stateroom attendant, Soft, cozy linens, Plenty of closet and drawer space, In-room safe for valuables, Television Stateroom climate control.

High-energy production shows, comedy clubs, karaoke, and deck parties are signature nighttime activities. Ah, imagine a perfect day out on the links, the golfer's zen of the ball, the hole and nothing in between but well-manicured fairway... Whoever it was, they had one thing in mind — maximum fun for mini-golfers, big and small! That's precisely why you'll find a course on every Carnival ship, where you can hit the holes and take in everything you’d expect, like the sights and the sounds...
