We are paid by our participating communities, therefore our service is offered at no charge to families. Our service is 100% free to use - no hidden costs. If I can give zero stars I would. My father was a patient at this facility for only a week.
They don’t let them lay in bed all day like some of these places do. They have activities for those that are able to do the activities. They have a room with a bike and treadmill. There are also small things they can do with their arms, if they’re able to do so.
Aperion Care Forest Park - Forest Park, IL
Sadly, these nursing homes did not excel from a quality standpoint. Its nursing homes were awarded a city grade of D, which is a very poor score at the city level. We also looked at the nursing homes in the nearby city of Cicero. While we aren't fans of either city, we found the facilities in Oak Lawn to be a bit better. This facility did not give him his required meds, misplaced inhalers, bruising on his eye and a lump on the head , arm bruised due to blood work dehydration and lack of exercise. The nursing staff failed to properly insert a catheter. Patients only leave their beds for dining purposes only, maybe if there is an activity going on.

Nestled between historic Frank Lloyd Wright homes and a vibrant downtown shopping district, the location of our independent and assisted living community is just the start of what... Even during the pandemic the staff members encouraged families to come and visit. They built an enclosed glass patio so the families and residents could visit while still being safe which we really appreciated that. Sometimes our loved one complains about the meals, but she is picky so we have to take that with a grain of salt. They do have activities and when our loved one needs to go back to a community we will look no further.
My mother moved into Symphony 87th Street. It was convenient for the family to get to her with the location and everything. Some of the staff members are helpful. I don’t think that they give the residents enough water to hydrate their bodies with their meals.
Located at 625 North Harlem, Paramount Oak Park R & N Center (license # ) can provide skilled nursing services to a maximum of 204 Cook County residents. I’ve never seen a place that looked that beautiful before in my life. They have private places where residents can go, like fireplace where they can go and read. They have beautiful dining areas.
What a wonderful place to get better after a fall or hospitilization. A Place for Mom uses the term “assisted living” to indicate that the community provides some level of assistance with daily living activities. It does not indicate that the facility meets official state requirements for level of care.
It is located at 270 Skokie Highway, zip code and provides skilled nursing care in Northbrook, Illinois. We chose Dimensions Living Burr Ridge for my mom for its location. She’s in their skilled nursing part, and the staff seems very caring and attentive to my mom.
The people I spoke to on the phone were wonderful. The CA staff found many ways of not caring for the patient. My friend was at the end of a hallway.
Unable to move for the most part and declined each day. Due to covid I was not able to see her. Trying to reach someone on her floor to either talk to my mom or a staff member was a struggle. The ONLY nurse i was able to reach and had compassion was louis. The floor manager a short young girl had NO COMPASSION at all. When they told us they were putting mom in hospice they told us we could make an appointment for 2 days later to see her.
There are lot of different activities, covid just kind of changed how things worked with the activities. I feel like I can trust this community with my loved one. This is a very nice place and they go out...
