It was a career in which he started when his was only 13 years old, and took great pride in. He was a faithful parishioner of Our Lady of Fatima Church, where he attended mass up until his illness. He was also a member of the Azorean Brotherhood of the Divine Holy Ghost, Portuguese American War Veterans Post No. 1, and the Our Lady of Help Hall, all in Peabody. He was predeceased by a granddaughter, Jasmine Hamilton, and his brothers, Jose and Gabriel Machado. A visitation will be held on Sunday, April 11, from 5-7P.M. At the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody.
